摘要

The present invention refers to the use of a copolymer of the poly(isobutyl vinyl ether-co-e-caprolactone) as a plasticizer in a flexible formulation of vinyl polychloride. The use of this copolymer increases the thermal stability of the PVC formulation, increasing therefore the degradation temperature. The poly(isobutyl vinyl ether-co-e-caprolactone) is a biodegradable low toxic material, compared to phthalates commonly used as plasticizers in a PVC formulation. The formulations are particularly useful in the production of military, construction, biomedical applications, and baby care and food packaging applications.
