PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of suppressing a change in contrast of a display image due to image processing.SOLUTION: An image display device of the present invention includes: a light emission means; a display means for displaying an image on a screen by modulating light from the light emission means based on image data; a first acquisition means for acquiring the image data; a second acquisition means for acquiring, from the image data acquired by the first acquisition means, luminance information on luminance of the acquired image data; a third acquisition means for acquiring processing information on image processing when the acquired image data is processed image data on which image processing is performed so as to change a dynamic range of the image data; and a control means for controlling, when the acquired image data is the processed image data, light emission luminance of the light emission means based on the luminance information and the processing information so as to suppress a change in contrast of the image displayed on the screen due to the image processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
