PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device capable of reducing an influence of disconnection of network connection in a user use state and reducing consumption power in a standby state.SOLUTION: The projection type display device including communication means for communicating with an external device includes: light-source controlling means for controlling a light source; and control means for controlling the projection type display device.
