PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time necessary for data transfer performed among a plurality of display devices before the plurality of display devices display one image when the one image is displayed by combining the plurality of display devices with one another.SOLUTION: A display device includes: means for managing overall information on all of a plurality of display devices and individual information on each of the plurality of display devices; generation means for generating image data from an image file stored in an external memory; means for dividing the image data generated by the generation means and segmenting partial image data; communication means for transmitting the segmented partial image data to the plurality of display devices; output means for transforming the image data generated by the generation means and outputting the transformed image data to a display unit; and control means for controlling the operation of the output means. The control means performs control so as to output the image data generated by the generation means to the display unit when each of the plurality of display devices is ready to display it.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
