The clock has a view aperture in a clock cabinet (2) that is directed towards observer. The clock components with light-receiving regions are provided in the clock cabinet. The light receiving surface area in the clock cabinet is covered by a transparent cover portion to transmit UV light and to block visible light. The light-receiving regions are made of phosphor. The transparent carrier of dial (6) is made of sapphire glass. The observer side surface area of the dial is coated with titanium oxide or silver. |
