Process for filtering dust from effluent gases from a glass furnace, in particular a flaming furnace with burners without inversion, with the following stages:- (a) at least part of the dust is filtered from at least part of the effluent at a flow speed of at least 0.1 m/s, preferably at least 1 to 10 m/s using a filtering medium downstream of the furnace, and (b) the filtering medium is regenerated by washing with at least one solvent, preferably water-based, which can dissolve and/or drain out the majority of the filtered dust. Use of such a process so the glass furnace emits at most 150mg of dust per Nm<3> at 8% O2, preferably at most 50mg/Nm<3> at 8% O2 and/or at most 0.35kg of dust per tonne of glass, preferably at most 0.2kg. Glass furnace installation equipped at the level(s) of the outlet pipe(s) with a medium which can filter dust at more than 0.1m/s.
|
