PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the accumulation of an ink which is solidified in an exhaust cap.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer comprises a control part which performs: exhaust processing for applying negative pressure to a space in an exhaust cap by a negative pressure application mechanism, and discharges air bubbles from an air bubble storage chamber via a discharge passage and the space in the exhaust cap; standby processing for making an ink which is sucked together with the air bubbles during the exhaust processing standby in a state that the ink is retained in the space in the exhaust cap after the exhaust processing; idling suction processing for making the negative pressure application mechanism suck the ink which is retained in the space in the exhaust cap after the standby processing; and ink purge processing for forcibly discharging the ink from a nozzle by an ink purge mechanism in parallel with the standby processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
