PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detection device capable of accurately detecting detection current across a wide range.SOLUTION: A current detection device comprises: an exciting coil 4 wound around a magnetic core 3 surrounding a conductor into which detection current can flow so as to electrically insulate from and magnetically couple with the magnetic core; an exciting unit 5 that applies rectangular wave voltage and supplies the exciting coil with exciting current that gets the magnetic core to a saturation state or a state close to the saturation state; a current-to-voltage conversion unit 6 that converts the exciting current flowing through the exciting coil into voltage and outputs the voltage; a binarization unit 8 that converts the voltage into rectangular wave voltage on the basis of timing when the magnitude of the output voltage output by the current-to-voltage conversion unit changes; a first current detection unit 9 that detects inflow of the detection current on the basis of the rectangular wave voltage output by the binarization unit; a full-wave rectification value formation unit 11 that outputs a full-wave rectification value of the voltage output by the current-to-voltage conversion unit; and a second current detection unit 12 that detects the inflow of the detection current on the basis of the full-wave rectification value output by the full-wave rectification value formation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
