PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can achieve instantaneousness in document operation by executing a plurality of image processings simultaneously by effectively distributing the processing capability of a plurality of processors equipped in the image processor, even if a plurality of document processings occur at the same time, therefore a plurality of image processings are required at the same time, and hence generates no execution stagnation to image processing, keeping the operability of the operator comfortable. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a first processing means (CPU113) for executing various kinds of image processings and at least one processing other than these image processings, a second processing means (DSP114) for executing various kinds of image processings, and a comparing means (CPU113) for comparing the priorities of the image processing under execution and a newly occurred image processing. Based on the comparison result of the comparing means (CPU113), the image processing having a higher priority is executed by the second processing means (DSP114) while the image processing having a lower priority is executed by the first processing means (CPU113).
