<p>A digital camera, which is capable of being set to an imaging mode and to an operating mode other than the imaging mode, has a lens barrier movable between a closed position, in which the lens is covered, and an open position, in which the imaging lens is exposed. It also comprises a lens-barrier-position detecting circuit for detecting the position of said lens barrier, and a mode setting unit for setting the imaging mode in response to detection that the lens barrier is at the open position, and for setting the operating mode in response to detection that the lens barrier is at the closed position.</p> |
