<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more appropriately treat evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Opening of a purge control valve is gradually reduced (S170) when a purge gas concentration learning value Cp reaches a threshold Cref or higher after an accumulated purge flow rate Qpi reaches a threshold Qref or higher from the start of purge control (S120, S130), namely when it is estimated that the purge gas concentration becomes lower than a prescribed concentration. An opening of the purge control valve is increased at once and gradually reduced after that (S150, S140, S170) when it is estimated that the purge concentration is increased after that.
