This automobile carrying vessel is equipped with: a vessel hull which includes an upper deck, a double bottom, and a pair of vessel-side outer plates; a plurality of vehicle decks which are arranged within the vessel hull; a pair of box-shaped side structures which extend vertically along the inside surfaces of the pair of vessel-side outer plates, and each have a lower portion coupled to the double bottom and an upper portion coupled to the upper deck; and an upper structure which extend in the vessel width direction along the top surface of the upper deck so as to extend across the pair of side structures.
