The building assembly having a retracted condition in which the components of building, such as a wall, floor or roof are located within a first volume and an expanded condition in which the components of the building extend out of the first and define a second volume. The building assembly comprising two components which each extend in different directions along different axes. The assembly may move between the two configurations by use of a lever assembly. Also claimed is an expandable building assembly where some of the components are nested with respect to each other. Also claimed is a building assembly where in the expanded condition a roof assembly has been rotated relative to its retracted condition. Some of the components may be expanded by horizontal, vertical translational sliding motion or they may be expanded by rotational unfolding motion. The roof portion may form the floor portion of a second storey of the building assembly. |
