The present invention relates to the technical field of home media. Disclosed are a method and device for searching output image content of videos from a set-top box. The method comprises the following steps: capturing a currently output image from a video output layer of a set-top box; performing a texture analysis on the captured output image and partitioning the currently output image into a plurality of different content regions; and searching, according to a search instruction from a remote control, corresponding image content from the plurality of different content regions. The present invention provides a direct search of the image content on a set-top box, thereby bringing great convenience and enhancing user experience. |
