A printing apparatus 20 is provided with: a mask fixation unit 27 that fixes and holds a screen mask M; a printing processing unit 22 that performs printing processing of a viscous fluid on substrates S; a first substrate operation unit 30 that forms a first line and conveys and fixes one of the substrates S; a second substrate operation unit 40 that forms a second line and conveys and fixes another of the substrates S; a processing unit 50 that images identification parts formed on the substrates S; and a control unit that causes the printing processing to be performed in the first line and the imaging processing of said other of the substrates S to be performed in the second line, while causing the printing processing to be performed in the second line and the imaging processing of said one of the substrates S to be performed in the first line.
