Aircraft structure including a first component 12, a second component 14 and a fastening device 10 fastening the first component to the second component. The fastening device includes a clamping part 16 and a fastener 20, the fastener having a longitudinal axis. The clamping part is associated with the first component such that the clamping part is movable in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fastener and fixed in position in a second direction. The fastener extends through the second component into engagement with the clamping member and holds the clamping member against the second component. The clamping part may be associated with an anchor nut 18. The fastener may be a threaded nut. The first component may include a receiving portion (22, fig 3) for at least partially receiving the clamping part. The receiving portion may restrict the movement of the clamping part in all directions other than that of the longitudinal axis of the fastener. |
