PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for the production of a triazine compound, especially 2,4,6-triaminotriazine compound, enabling the mass-production of the compound in high purity in a short reaction time and high yield. SOLUTION: The method for the production of a triazine compound expressed by general formula (1) by the reaction of 2,4,6-trichlorotriazine with a compound expressed by R<SB>1</SB>R<SB>2</SB>NH (R<SB>1</SB>is an alkyl, an aryl or a heterocyclic group; and R<SB>2</SB>is H, an alkyl, an aryl or a heterocyclic group) is carried out by reacting the components in a solvent containing water and an aromatic hydrocarbon organic solvent in the presence of a base.
