A recording medium, a method and an apparatus for recording/reproducing information of the recording medium are provided to preserve data from defects when an error occurs in recording layers by containing the physically same section as the defective section in the defect recording layer and upper and lower recording layers as a defect possible section. Whether a defective section exists in at least one recording layer is checked(S20). If there is a defective section, a first defect management information which is information on the defective section is recorded in the management section(S30). A second defect management information which is information on the physically same section as the defective section is recorded in the management section(S40).
