<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for an internal combustion engine having a low P content, a low S content, a low sulfated ash content and a low chlorine content and being improved in the cam and lifter wear, the amount of deposits on piston and/or the lubricant viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the lubricant composition for an internal combustion engine having a P content of≤0.09 mass%, an S content of≤0.3 mass% and a sulfated ash content of≤1 mass% and containing the following additives: at least one nitrogen-containing ashless derivative of a mono- or dicarboxylic acid substituted with a polyalkenyl, an acid anhydride or ester thereof which, as a sole nitrogen-containing ashless dispersant, gives nitrogen of 0.03-0.07 mass% in the lubricant composition (the mono- or dicarboxylic acid substituted with the polyalkeny, the acid anhydride or ester thereof is produced from polyalkane solely by the thermal ene reaction); at least one overbased alkali earth metal sulfonate as a sole overbased metal detergent; and at least one viscosity improver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
