<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stack surface pressing device which can supply a surface pressure on a stack using a hydraulic cylinder since a hydraulic apparatus to supply a surface pressure to a stack is detachably installed to a stack fastening portion. <P>SOLUTION: The stack surface pressing apparatus includes a base on the upper surface of which the stack is mounted, a surface pressing plate installed on the upper side of the stack so as to press the stack, and a plurality of vertical beams vertically installed on the base such that beam upper ends penetrate through and protrude from the brim of the surface pressing plate. A thread portion is installed on the upper part of the each vertical beam. Nuts are brought into contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the surface pressing plate and fastened to the thread portion.
