A cosmetic composition containing solid waxes and paste compounds is provided to allow a mascara composition to be adhered to eyelashes smoothly. A cosmetic composition comprises an aqueous phase and more than 10wt% of one or more solid waxes and paste-type compounds. The cosmetic composition contains one or more oils. The mixing ratio of the solid waxes and the paste-type compounds with the oils are 2 to 8 by weight. The total amount of the paste-type compounds and oils are 1-15wt% on a total weight of the cosmetic composition. The aqueous phase indicates water and one or more water-soluble solvents. The amount of the aqueous phase is 3-80wt% on a total weight of the cosmetic composition.
