<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drag-adjusting mechanism of a double bearing reel, which controls a rotation operation to a drag-releasing position and facilitates a rotation operation from the drag-releasing position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This drag-adjusting mechanism of the double bearing reel includes a drag-adjusting lever, a cam mechanism and a rotation control portion 44. The drag-adjusting lever is rotated between a drag-releasing position and a maximum drag position on a spool shaft. The cam mechanism has a cam surface 49 whose height in the spool shaft direction is changed to convert the rotation of the drag-adjusting lever into the movement of the drag mechanism in the spool shaft direction. The rotation control portion is disposed on the cam surface, and has a control protrusion 44a for controlling the rotation of the drag-adjusting lever, when the drag-adjusting lever is rotated on the front side of the drag-releasing position. The control protrusion has a top 44b, the first slope 44c directed from the top to the first position corresponding to the drag-releasing position, and the second slope 44d directed from the top to the side opposite to the drag-releasing position, wherein the inclination angle of the first slope is smaller than that of the second slope.
