PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present information for enabling a user to grasp a concrete work item of a merchandise management work for improving an inappropriate delivery state to the user.SOLUTION: The merchandise monitoring device includes: an image acquisition part 31 for acquiring the photographic image of a display area; a state monitoring area setting part 32 for setting a state monitoring area on the photographic image of the display area; a merchandise detection part 33 for acquiring merchandise detection information indicating the position of merchandise in the state monitoring area on the basis of the photographic image of the state monitoring area; a display state evaluation part 34 for evaluating the display state of merchandise in the state monitoring area by using a plurality of evaluation indexes related to the display disturbance of merchandise on the basis of the merchandise detection information; and a display information generation part 37 for presenting information on an evaluation result by the display state evaluation part to a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
