PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration generated when a sheet pressing part is rotationally operated.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises: a sheet placement part on which sheets are placed; a sheet pressing part which is rotationally operable between the open position and the close position with respect to the sheet placement part and presses the sheets placed on the sheet placement part; an opening/closing operation drive part which rotationally operates the sheet pressing part between the open position and the close position; and a drive control part which makes the acceleration at the start of the opening/closing operation and the stop of the opening/closing operation of the sheet pressing part lower than the acceleration between the start and the stop by controlling driving of the sheet pressing part by the opening/closing operation drive part at the composite acceleration obtained by composing the first acceleration and the second acceleration by shifting them by a period determined in accordance with the cycle of natural vibration generated in a case where the sheet pressing part is rotationally operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
