PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a change in temperature of an endless member occurring when the endless member and a moving member are brought into contact during fixing processing.SOLUTION: During fixing processing, when a contact member 152 is moved from a separation position to a contact position, if there is a difference in temperature between a temperature Ta of an inner peripheral surface of a fixing belt 102 and a target temperature (300 to 304), a fixing device changes a first target temperature Ts1 during normal operation to a second target temperature Ts2 during contact (306) with a target temperature Ts of an arithmetic expression to calculate a supply power I to be supplied to an exciting coil to heat the fixing belt, calculates the supply power I (310), and supplies the supply power I to the exciting coil (312).
