PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus capable of picking up images at a higher frame rate when a high quality image is required.SOLUTION: A DSP (digital signal processor) 17 detects vibrations of a bus to determine travelling state of the bus based on an acceleration signal output from an acceleration sensor 12. When the travelling state of the bus changes from stoppage to travelling, an image sensor 11 is set to a high frame rate of 120fps; and when the travelling state of the bus changes from travelling to stoppage, the image sensor 11 is set to a low frame rate of 30fps.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
