PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter, executing PWM control, capable of suppressing a common mode voltage generated when an amplitude of a fundamental wave is substantially zero.SOLUTION: A controller 30, applied to an inverter 10 having a plurality of phases and executing pulse width modulation control for converting DC power into AC power by changing switching states of switching elements SUp-SWn provided for each phase on the basis of comparison of fundamental waves VU*, VV*, VW* to carriers CU, CV, CW, sets a predetermined carrier of inversion phase to be a reverse phase relative to a predetermined carrier of reference phase in a plurality of phases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
