PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of switching devices and the number of capacitors in a multilevel power converter.SOLUTION: In each phase of a multilevel power converter, the multilevel power converter includes: DC capacitors C1, C2 connected between DC terminals P, N; switching devices S1-S4 connected in series between the DC terminals P, N; a switching device S5 having one end connected to a common connection point of the switching devices S1, S2; a switching device S6 having one end connected to a common connection point of the switching devices S3, S4; a flying capacitor C3 connected between the other end of the switching device S5 and the other end of the switching device S6; a full bridge circuit 1 in which the DC side is connected to the other end of the switching device S5 and the other end of the switching device S6; and a high frequency transformer HFT in which one end of primary winding and one end of secondary winding are connected to the AC side of the full bridge circuit 1 and a common connection point of the other ends of the primary winding and the secondary winding is an output terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
