PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine failure of a combustion detection circuit to enable safe combustion operation, in a case of causing a flame rod to detect combustion flame.SOLUTION: A combustion safety controller includes: a combustion detection circuit 2 that applies predetermined AC voltage to a flame rod 1, and continuously detects the presence/absence of combustion flame during combustion operation, on the basis of current flowing in the flame rod 1 by rectification of combustion flame; and a control unit 4 that controls combustion operation on the basis of output from the combustion detection circuit 2. During combustion operation, power supply is stopped to the combustion detection circuit 2 for each predetermined time, and circuit failure of the combustion detection circuit 2 is determined based on the output from the combustion detection circuit 2 at the time of stop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
