PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection system capable of precisely detecting an indeterminate object by reliably determining a solid state object and the indeterminate object in an image picked up around a vehicle.SOLUTION: The object detection system determines at least an indeterminate object candidate and an indeterminate object, generates a partially corrected image by partially correcting an area on the image where the indeterminate object candidate and the indeterminate object are located, and acquires a piece of distance information to the object in the partially corrected image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
