PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle pillar structure which enables reduction of an amount of a center pillar, which enters into a vehicle cabin side, and amounts of other members, which enter into the vehicle cabin side, to secure high level collision safety on an entire side surface of a vehicle when a lateral collision occurs.SOLUTION: A vehicle pillar structure 1 includes: a groove part 2 which is formed over an entire width of an area below a lower hinge 5 in a fore and aft direction at an outer part of a center pillar 103 when viewed in a vehicle width direction; a door beam 3 which is disposed in a front door 115 so as to overlap with the lower hinge 5 in a vertical direction; and a bracket 4 which extends in the vertical direction and may transmit an impact received by the door beam 3 or the lower hinge 5 during a lateral collision to the groove part 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
