A method for acquiring the location of a terminal in a Wi-Fi network, a terminal, an LTE communication device, and a system. The terminal is capable of transmitting in a Wi-Fi network location information of the terminal to an evolved packet data gateway of an LTE communication device in an LTE network, and transmitting the location information to other target LTE network elements of the LTE communication device in the LTE network via the evolved packet data gateway. In the method, the LTE communication device (such as a PDN GW, PCRF, and IMS) in the LTE network is allowed to acquire the location information of the terminal in the Wi-Fi, thus facilitating implementation of relevant applications (such as number completion) requiring the location information of the terminal, also facilitating a carrier in launching location information-reliant services such as Wi-Fi voice services, and enriching services for the terminal with access to Wi-Fi. |
