PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art to properly control capacitance of a Y capacitor which is composed by use of a part of a structure of a semiconductor device thereby to effectively suppress common mode noise.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device disclosed in the present specification comprises a power module 10. In the power module 10, a conductive plate 13a electrically connected with a first electrode P of a switching element 6 and a conductive plate 13b electrically connected with a second electrode N are encapsulated. The conductive plate 13a, an insulation plate 21a and a support plate 56a form a first Y capacitor with capacitance C1. The conductive plate 13b, an insulation plate 21b and a support plate 56b form a second Y capacitor with capacitance C2. Impedance Z1 between the first electrode and a ground when there are no first and second Y capacitors and impedance Z2 between the second electrode N and the ground satisfy a relation represented as Z1>Z2. The capacitance C1 and the capacitance C2 satisfy a relation represented as C1<C2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
