PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining the use of a thermally decolorable recording agent, an image formation device, an image reading device and an image formation device, capable of easily discriminating a sheet on which a use of thermally decolorable ink is determined.SOLUTION: A determination device for a thermally decolorable recording agent includes: heating means such as a heating device 20 configured to heat at least part of a sheet; a pre-heating reading part 5 configured to read an image on a sheet before heating; and a pre-heating reading part 6 configured to read an image on a sheet after heating. According to the read image information before and after heating, determination means determines whether or not a thermally decolorable recording agent is used. The determination device for a thermally decolorable recording agent further includes sheet processing means such as a processing device 18 configured to apply a predetermined processing to the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
