<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor capable of affording white color with the one phosphor and having excellent characteristics when combined with an excitation light source emitting blue color. <P>SOLUTION: The yellow light-emitting phosphor is a solid solution crystal phosphor comprising an inorganic compound having the same crystal structure as a CaSiAlN<SB>3</SB>crystal as a matrix crystal, containing Ce as the emission center ion and having an emission peak wavelength within the range of 550-600 nm. The yellow light-emitting phosphor is represented by the following compositional formula: Ca<SB>1-x-y</SB>Sr<SB>x</SB>AlSiN<SB>3</SB>:Ce<SP>3+</SP><SB>y</SB>(wherein, x and y satisfy each 0<x<1 and 0.001≤y≤0.1; or x and y satisfy each 0≤x<1 and 0.005≤y≤0.1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
