<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolithic photo chip having a solar energy element and a light emitting element and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The monolithic photo chip, which has a solar energy element and a light emitting element manufactured by a selective area growth method, has merits of simple construction, small size, and low cost. Moreover, a solar cell type illuminator with the monolithic photo chip and storage battery has merits which is small, elaborate, simple in construction, easy to assemble, and low in cost. Thus, the solar cell type illuminator is widely applicable in various areas: in a laser diode application area, such as a laser pointer, laser site, laser aimer, laser leveler, and laser measuring tool, etc.; and in a light emitting diode application area, such as a decoration lamp, garden lamp, flower bed lamp, advertisement lamp, street lamp, road alarm lamp, and road display lamp etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
