<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve non-tracking reproduction in a narrow width track by enabling reproducing to be performed by plural MR heads even in a narrow width track (5μm or lower). SOLUTION: A lower MR head 2 is constructed by laminating a lower shield layer 6 (magnetic shield material), a first MR element 7 and a middle shield layer 8 (magnetic shield material) in this order. Further, on the middle shield layer, in the laminating direction, a second MR element 9, an upper shield layer 10 (magnetic shield material) are laminated in this order, and the laminated plural MR elements are formed by being shifted in a direction (width direction) almost orthogonal to the laminating direction.</p> |
