<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an exhaust turbine supercharger from overrunning when a trouble occurs in he EGR valve control while the engine is operated in the medium-high load region with reduced supercharging pressure. SOLUTION: The device has an EGR controller 3 controlled by an engine controller 1, and EGR actuator 5 to control an EGR valve by the EGR controller 3, an exhaust turbine controller 2 controlled by the engine controller 1, and an actuator 6 of an exhaust turbine rotational frequency controller to control the exhaust turbine by an exhaust turbine controller 4. When a trouble occurs in controlling the EGR valve when the engine is operated with reduced supercharging pressure, the excess rotation of the exhaust turbine is controlled by the trouble detection signal.</p> |
