PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that attains high-speed routing with a large capacity. SOLUTION: A matrix switch 21 applies self-routing to packets on the basis of a tag including output path information provided in the packets. Selectors 22-1-22-n are arranged corresponding to N-sets of output ports P#1-P#N of the matrix switch 21 to conduct N:1 select control. Setting registers 23-1-23-n latch select information for the selectors 22-1-22-n to select a signal.
