<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and authentication method capable of authenticating a terminal device without inputting personal information from the terminal device having a small number of operational keys. <P>SOLUTION: A temporary registration information preparing section 33 of an authentication server 30, on receiving a request from the terminal device 40, prepares temporary registration information including a specific serial ID and a specific temporary ID, records the prepared temporary registration information in an information recording section 31, and transmits a cookie in which the serial ID is recorded and the temporary ID to the terminal device 40. An apparatus registration section 35, on receiving clearance information including the temporary ID, prepares terminal authentication information including serial ID corresponding to the temporary ID and records it in the information recording section 31. The terminal device 40 displays the temporary ID received from the authentication server 30 on a display section 43, records the cookie received from the authentication server 30 in a cookie recording section 422, and transmits it to the authentication server 30 together with the request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
