PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading device capable of shading at appropriate speed both for those whose eye point is high and those whose eye point is low. SOLUTION: In this shading device 1, when an eye point IP is identified (S14), movement speed to discharge a shading plate 10 is set relatively low when the eye point IP is relatively high and set relatively high when the eye point IP is relatively low (S18, S20). Therefore, when the shading device 1 is used, for those whose eye point is high, since the shading plate 10 is moved slowly, shading is performed without suddenly blocking forward visibility. In addition, when the shading device 1 is used, for those whose eye point is low, shading is performed quickly without making them feel that it takes long to perform shading.
