PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular shock-absorbing member capable of compatibly realizing efficient axial compressive deformation and reducing mass. SOLUTION: A crash box 10 has an inclined surface 32 in which a flange part 30 is inclined with respect to the direction of the surface orthogonal to the axis of a shaft 22X of a cylindrical shock-absorbing part 22. A striking part 26 is provided on the flange part 30 side of the shock-absorbing part 22 along the inclined surface 32, and its fore end 26A is welded to the inclined surface 32. Thus, the offset quantity L from the load input position in the shock-absorbing part 22 to the welding position is suppressed in the axial view of the shock-absorbing part 22. Any generation of the moment with the welding position being a supporting point is suppressed in a collision, and generation of the buckling in a root breaking mode inward of the shock-absorbing part 22 can be suppressed thereby.
