<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of easily guiding an information storage medium into a predetermined position where a communication can be established without needing any physical guide mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 34 displays image information on a display area 26 provided on a front surface portion 25 of an operation unit 24. A handy terminal 21 can communicate with an IC card 22 which is approaching from a back surface portion 27 side of the operation unit 24. A media guide location storing unit 43 stores a guide mark 28 as disposition location information for indicating a location where the IC card 22 is to be disposed when performing a wireless communication with the IC card 22.
