<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in collating a face image by obtaining a face image which is the optimal to collation of the face image. <P>SOLUTION: A face image extraction part 202 of an image processor extracts the face image of a person to be collated from an image picked up by an entrance camera 40. A direction control part 241, a zoom control part 242 and an exposure control part 243 control the entrance camera 40 so as to change the image to be picked up. A proper face image determination part 203 determines whether or not the face image of the person is suitable for collation. When it is determined that the face image is not suitable for collation by the proper face image determination part 203, an adjusting part 43 causes the direction control part 241, the zoom control part 242, and the exposure control part 243 to control the entrance camera 40 so as to adjust the entrance camera 40.
