PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological molecule detecting element capable of accurately and sensitively detecting a biological molecule at a single molecular level.

SOLUTION: A metal particulate on which a single probe molecule is fixed is manufactured, and a single probe molecular element where the metal particulate is fixed to the surface of a carrier substrate is manufactured.
