PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an existing pile removing method for easily removing a long/heavy existing pile buried underground. SOLUTION: In a first process, a casing 2 having an excavating blade 1 for excavating the periphery of the existing pile 30 buried in the ground G<SB>1</SB>is lowered while being rotated by a casing rotating lifting device 6 to excavate down to a predetermined depth, then an existing pile cutting edge 3 provided at the lower end 2a of the casing 2 is projected from the inner surface of the lower end 2a to cut the existing pile 30, and an upper portion from a cut part of the existing pile 30 cut with the existing pile cutting edge 3 is latched by a receiving face 3a of the existing pile cutting edge 3 and pulled out of the ground G<SB>1</SB>. After repeating the first process, a second process is carried out by taking hold of the peripheral surface of a pile lower end by holding claws 7 located above the existing pile cutting edge 3, to pull the pile lower end out of the ground G<SB>1</SB>together with the casing 2.
