<p>Film-forming compsn. consists of a mixture of (I) a normally crystalline copolymer of >=70 wt. % vinylidene chloride units and =30 wt. % vinyl chloride units and (II) 1-10 pref. 2-5 wt. % based on compsn. of a terpolymer of >=60, pref. 71 wt. % ethylene units, 20-40 pref. 24-29 wt. % units of a vinyl ester of a 1-6C mono-basic satd. aliphatic carboxylic acid and 0.01-10 pref. 0.05-2 wt. % (meth)acrylic acid units, this terpolymer having a melt index of 3-45 pref. 5-7g. per 10 mins. as determined by ASTM D1238. The film is used for packaging. The mixt. of (I) and (II) can be more easily heat sealed at relatively low temps. e.g. 102-138 degrees C than the polymer (I) alone.</p> |
