发明名称 FATTY ACID RECOVERY PROCESS
摘要
1307862 Fatty acids and sulphonates ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 7 May 1971 [7 May 1970] 22164/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division C5] Fattv acids are recovered from mixtures of aqueous soapstock/sulphonate salt solution obtained as by-products in the refining of glyceride oils by (1) acidifying the solution with mineral acid to neutralize the soapstock and allow a free fatty phase and aqueous phase to separate, (2) separating the phases and neutralizing the aqueous phase, (3) separating the aqueous phase and (4) crystallizing the inorganic salt from the denser phase. Sulphuric acid (96%) may be used in the acidification step (1) to a pH of 2À5 to 3À5, aqueous caustic soda may be used in step (2) to a pH of approx. 7; and the dissolved oil separates and is removed while the dissolved fatty acids are retained as soaps in the aqueous layer. Step (4) may be by evaporative cooling and centrifuging and the inorganic salt may be sodium sulphate decahydrate, and the mother liquor may be used in the alkaline refining-stage of glyceride oil refining.
