<p>1308117 Shearing DANIELI & C SpA 23 Aug 1971 [28 June 1971] 39399/71 Heading BW3 Pairs of disc cutters 20, 22 are mounted on housings 10 which are pivotable relative to a base by cylinder units 18 to bring the cutter pairs alternately into cutting position. Roller stock is fed through a switch guide 38, pivotable by a cylinder unit 40, to an outlet guide 42 or 44. In operation, with stock being fed through guides 38 and 42, the guide 38 is pivoted to move the stock into the cutting zone of the lower discs 22 where it is cut and then into the non-cutting zone of upper discs 20. The newly cut stock end is fed into the guide 44. The housings 10 are pivoted to bring the upper discs into cutting position and a second cut takes place when the guide 38 is pivoted to its lower operative position and moves the stock through the upper cutting zone. A further pivoted switch guide may follow the guides 42, 44 and be pivoted between two or more operative positions. One motor 32 drives both cutter pairs through bevel gears 28, 30.</p> |
