1344603 Pyrrolidine derivatives USV PHARMACEUTICAL CORP 1 May 1972 [7 May 1971] 20222/72 Heading C2C Novel pyrrolidine derivatives of the formula wherein R 1 is nitrophenyl, R 2 is H, CH 3 or CH 2 CH 2 , R 3 is methoxyphenyl, and X is 1- pyrrolidinyl; and their pharmaceutically acceptable non-toxic acid addition salts are prepared by reacting oximes of the formula with either isocyanates of the formula or carbamoyl chlorides of the formula and, if desired, converting the resulting products in acid addition salts. Alternatively compounds in which R 2 is CH 3 may be obtained by methylating the corresponding compounds in which R 2 is H. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral, parenteral, rectal or topical administration, contain the above novel compounds or acid addition salts thereof in admixture with suitable carriers or diluents. The compounds possess analgesic activity. |
